You can sing!

Learn to sing the music you love, and stay excited along the way. Regardless of your skill level as a beginner, or looking to build on experience, this guide will help you get started on the right track. From finding your favourite songs to learning the basics of vocal technique and music theory, this guide will help you get started on the right path.

At Kamata School, you’ll learn the most up-to-date, effective singing techniques, graduating from simple to more complex ones as your vocal range and skills grow, resulting in a beautiful tone, rich vocal texture, great pitch accuracy, unique sound, singing confidence, and presence while you sing.

We begin by providing you with a strong foundation in good vocal techniques such as breath control, vocal warm-ups, and practice tips to help you grow your vocal range and safely hit those high notes. We then work with you to understand what genres you want to build on and blossom into as your career progresses.

Kamata School’s Voice program has helped many famous singers in Kenya improve their singing ability, gain confidence and become leaders in Kenya’s music scene. We’ve trained singers who’ve gone on to become authorities in the field of music. We’ve seen our Music Students struggle to believe that they can sing well, develop into live bands and get nominations for prestigious international Music Awards. We’re proud of our alumni who’ve won the Groove Awards and AFRIMMA Awards.

Vocals / Voice lessons Program

Our Voice Lessons tutorial takes 1 Hour.
While attending 3 sessions, the contemporary voice training program takes 3 months to complete. The period could vary depending on student schedules. We also tailor lessons to suit your desired timing structure.

We offer voice class tutorials, voice students interactive sessions, group singing sessions, band practice, voice recording experience, and an opportunity to sing in front of an audience to boost vocal confidence. Our voice lessons are built to mould you into a versatile, well-rounded singer.
Correct use of your voice muscles and a clear understanding of music, in general, will enable you to sing well in any style of your preference.

We, therefore, encourage voice students to learn Music Instruments like Guitar, Piano, Violin, Saxophone and Drumming. Learning a musical instrument develops your musical ear, thus enhancing your singing.
