In the midst of great hardships brought about by the Corona pandemic, Teacher Beatrice a Voice Coach, Music Instruments teacher and Jiko La Mziki live band singer has released a Kikuyu rendition called Maithori.
Maithori resonates with the tribulations the country and indeed the world has endeared in these troublesome times of economic hardships, sickness and ravaging effects of the enraging corona pandemic.
Music is an avenue of expression for the people, to talk about the realities that face us on an everyday case situation. The entire entertainment industry which supports thousands of people have been ravaged with lockdowns and curfews. There are many other industries that have greatly suffered during this season and this is a cry out to God, for a hand of salvation to a heart wretched people trying to make sense of the happenings.
Teacher Beatrice Music career spans over the years having been the founder of the all famous live band – Samawati Band. She prides having toured nearly all parts of this country staging electrifying live music performances with the Samawati Band. Currently Teacher Beatrice is a Music instructor at Kamata School of Music – she is a qualified classical music performer and instructor having studied the ABRSM Piano and Voice program.
